About Us

Our Story
123-Tri Club has been founded on a ‘Club’ model by Head Coach – Dr Paul Denton. Paul has a competitive athlete and sporting background of 45 years, with 30 years participation in Triathlon. Starting as a strong competitive swimmer and cyclist, prior to moving onto Triathlon, Paul balanced these at University with national level water polo and diving success, together with active coaching and sports physiology, designing experiments for GBR Cycling amongst other technology research.
Expert Accredited Triathlon Coaching in Exeter and Devon
After a more recent focus on swimming, Paul returned to Triathlon as a British Triathlon Level 2 Diploma (Personal) Coach, Accredited TrainingPeaks practitioner and GBR Age Group Athlete, with an enduring passion to support others to achieve their own high performance goals and race ambitions. In addition to his coaching role, Paul still manages to compete in multisport and endurance challenges from World and European Championships through to Open Water Swimming, Ironman and Ultra Running Events.
